When toddler starts missing home

I’m pretty happy our last trip abroad wasn’t meant to be a holiday of a lifetime. On the last day, one person in the family camped out by the door with her suitcase ready to leave hours before we were meant to head to the airport.

She had been feeling poorly and spending more time indoors than she’s used to, so she had decided she wanted to go home. She wanted to go home to her own bed, and she missed her Minnie toys. Grandparents, she said, could come to her house instead.

When it was finally time to go to the airport, we realised we’d left so early we ended up having to make an extra stop on the way to pass time. After hours of on and off crying before leaving for the airport, there had really been no point in hanging around any longer.

Baby Girl had only lit up when we had packed our bags and her pink Trunki suitcase into the car. She wanted to get on the airplane ASAP.

Home sweet home, London!
