When toddler starts taking doll out and about

Baby doll boyBaby Girl took Baby Doll to a family art breakfast at Christie’s in St James’s on Sunday. It was a big day for Baby Doll, as it was his first proper outing, and it went almost exactly as expected. After the breakfast, we had to make a stop in the reception, leaving our name, number and a description of what we’d lost.

The good news was that we still had Baby Doll. The bad news was he was getting very cold. He had lost his light blue mini cardigan, and I’d been running around the entire gallery trying to look for it.

Daddy T thought it was best not to trouble the Christie’s staff with lost doll-size knitwear, but I don’t think he knows how difficult it can be to get hold of doll’s clothes and how expensive these tiny pieces can be.

I wouldn’t even know where to start to look for a replacement cardigan for Baby Doll. In fact, it would have been much more straightforward if we’d lost the jacket I was wearing.

Now, I’m thinking it’s best if we leave Baby Doll at home until it warms up outside. If he doesn’t have to wrap up warm we might actually manage to go out without losing any of his dear belongings. Let’s hope Baby Girl agrees.
