Family Halloween party with entertainment at Igloo
London’s four Igloo shops are all celebrating Halloween with free parties with entertainment, festive treats and prizes on Sunday 26 October from 1.30-3.30pm. In the Chelsea shop on King’s Road there will be entertainment by Mr Marvel, and in the Wimbledon shop there will be entertainment by Dantastic Entertainment. While little ones join in the fun, grown-ups can enjoy a glass of champagne.
Fireman Sam to visit Hamley’s on Halloween
If you’re little one is a Fireman Sam fan, make sure your Halloween celebrations include a trip to Hamley’s on Regent Street. Fireman Sam will be at the ground floor in the shop, ready to meet all his fans from 12-4pm on Friday 31 October. For a full list of character meet-and-greets and other events at Hamley’s, see HERE.
Kids pumpkin carving event at Bluebird Chelsea
Bluebird (see picture above) is hosting a kids pumpkin carving event on Thursday 30 October at 4pm, where children can will get all the tools they need to make their very own scary pumpkin to put out for Halloween. The event, which is taking place in the Food Store, is recommended for children aged 4 and over and tickets are £20 per child (including a pumpkin, some cookies and hot chocolate).
Halloween fun day with storytelling at Battersea Children’s Zoo
Visit Battersea Park Children’s Zoo – an attraction Mummy in the City is a brand ambassador for – on Friday 31 October for a Halloween fun day with storytelling and more. The slightly scary free story sessions will take place at 12pm and 2pm, and there will also be opportunities to make a trick or treat bag for an additional cost.
Halloween party with fancy dress competition at Selfridges
Take the family to the Selfridges Halloween party on Saturday 25 October from 2-6pm to celebrate with pumpkin carving and arts and crafts activities for children in the children’s section on the fourth floor. Make sure you put on your scary costumes too, as there will be a Selfridges Halloween fancy dress competition, where there’s a chance to win a kids hamper worth £300. In addition, there will be a live DJ at the event and ‘Dawn of the Dead mask making with children’s brand Tootsa MacGinty.
Scary plant festival at Kew Gardens
Join the Deadly and Disgusting Plants festival at Kew Gardens, which has already started and lasts until 2 November. Families can follow an interactive theatrical trail around the Gardens, taking in some of the deadliest plants in the world.
