Where to find stylish children’s birthday party decorations

When we celebrated Baby Girl’s second birthday several mums asked me if we had hired an event business to do the decorations. But there was no event company involved. It was all done with the help of a box of beautiful samples I’d received from Surrey-based online retailer Pretty Little Party Shop.

I had contacted Pretty Little Party Shop because I loved the look of their collection, which includes stylish and unique decorations, such as vintage milk bottles and confetti balloons.

I wanted to have a themed birthday party for Baby Girl, but I thought it would be a good idea to opt for pink decorations and incorporate the theme in other ways.

I couldn’t have been happier with this decision.

I was particularly pleased with the unbreakable and stylish paper decorations–large paper pom poms in different shades of pink which made the table look stunning.

I also loved the clear balloons, which after being inspired by the Pretty Little Party Shop website, we filled with confetti or other balloons. Having a mix of pink balloons, confetti balloons, double balloons and polka dot balloons made the decorations stand out, and this was perhaps one of the reasons we kept being asked about having used a company.

For children’s birthdays, I also think the plastic milk bottles from Pretty Little Party Shop and sticker labels would be brilliant. I love the look of these with paper straws in, but next time I won’t attempt to wash brand new milk bottles on a too high temperature, as I had a bit of a crisis the night before the party.
