0Where to ski with kids in London
Chel-Ski
Off New King’s Road in Fulham, families can hit the slopes at Chel-Ski–or more specifically, hit the revolving astro turf mat. Group ski sessions can be booked for children aged 5 and over, and there can be up to 4 junior skiers on the slope at the same time. For adults, there are up to three skiers at the same time, and all sessions at Chel-Ski are with ski instructors. (I reviewed the Chel-Ski ski experience when it opened four years ago, and you can read about my Chel-Ski experience here)
Skieasy
At Dukes Meadows in Chiswick, indoor ski centre Skieasy offers private lessons on its revolving treadmill-style slope. A 30-minute session for up to 2 people is £55 during this winter season, and all sessions are with an instructor. Children can ski from age 3, but cannot share the slope with a friend or sibling before they’ve turned 5 years old.
The Snow Centre
In Hemel Hempstead–near London–The Snow Centre offers skiing on actual snow. The main slope is 160m long, and families can either book lift passes or lessons to enjoy skiing at The Snow Centre. There are group ski lessons available for children aged 4 and over. Adults and children aged 4 years and over can also book sessions on the ringo slide for simply having fun in the snow.
Snozone Milton Keynes
In Milton Keynes, Snozone has been offering skiing on real snow since opening in 2000, and families can book slope passes or ski lessons. Lessons are available for children aged 3 and over. Snozone also has sledging sessions for families that simply want to have fun in the snow.
