0Win a new Miles Kelly convertible tractor book
‘I’m feeding piggies, mummy!’
Baby Girl was sitting in her new tractor on the living room floor pretending to feed piggies like she’d recently done during a visit to Battersea Park Children’s Zoo. She had been playing with the tractor for a while, and had climbed in the door, found dolls, little play animals that could come on the trip and play food for feeding.
At 2.5, role play is almost all she wants to do at home these days, and she’s constantly coming up with imaginative stories about what we’re doing, whether it’s skiing around the kitchen island in invisible helmets and skis, putting on our invisible aprons and chef hats to do cooking, or walking up the invisible stairs when getting close to take-off in Let it Go.
The convertible tractor book (£17.99, Miles Kelly), which we received to review, fitted well with this current interest, and I think the concept of having a book that folds out to a vehicle is so fabulous I’ve already looked at getting her another one from the same series–a pink one that converts into a princess carriage.
The convertible series from Miles Kelly offers a selection of large board books, which all converts into different vehicles, and they can also be used as play mats. This means that it’s easy to have large toys like big tractors and similar at home for role play, as there’s no storage issue. It’s simply a case of folding it away and putting it back in the book shelf at the end of the day.
It was also exciting to read the story first to get Baby Girl into the theme, and then put up the vehicle with the easy to attach velcro straps, allowing her imagination to run wild and continue the story. I’m thrilled to have been offered one more of these fun tractor books to give away to one lucky reader.
To be in with a chance of winning a convertible tractor book (suitable for ages 3 and over) from Miles Kelly worth £17.99, please email your name and address to info@mummyinthecity.com with the subject line ‘Tractor’.
The competition is open to UK residents, and the winners will be selected at random from all entries received by midnight on 22 March 2015. The winner will receive one convertible tractor book. There is no cash alternative.
